Boston Python holds events in many different locations, often company offices. Policies vary from building to building. Some locations ask for names in advance, and require full names that match your ID. Hosts differ in how strictly they enforce this requirement. Some will refuse entry to people who aren't on the list, or whose name doesn't match.
When needed, we will ask you for your full ID-matching name when you RSVP for an event. If needed, we will close RSVPs two days before the event so that we can provide an accurate list to the host.
There are a few ways to provide your full name:
- Check your meetup.com profile to make sure your name agrees with your ID.
- If an event requires your full name, you will be asked for it when RSVPing.
- If you like, you can contact a Boston Python organizer to provide the information for an event's RSVP list. We'll make sure you're listed correctly.
