  • Destination\Slack keeps the result of its last post. write() discarded the webhook response, so a rate limit, a 5xx, a DNS failure or a dead webhook URL all looked like success to anything posting through it, and retries built on top of it could never fire. The destination still never throws (a Slack outage must not turn every Log::error() into an exception); getLastResponse() returns the WebHookResponse and lastWriteSucceeded() is true only for a 2xx with no transport error. setWebHook() injects the HTTP client for tests.
