Feature Request: Official Onesignal Component for Convex backend

Please create an official Onesignal component in Convex components.

Convex already has official components for similar messaging features:

• Resend
• Expo Push Notifications
• Twilio SMS
• Components Directory

However many people in the Convex community prefer using Onesignal. An official OneSignal component would let developers use OneSignal’s full capabilities (push, email, SMS, and more) directly from their Convex backend in the same clean, drop-in way.

This would make it much easier for the Convex community to adopt OneSignal for multi-channel messaging.

Convex components are pure TypeScript, self-contained backend modules that can use Convex functions, schemas, scheduled functions, actions, HTTP actions, and reactive queries. This makes them a great fit for an OneSignal integration.

Initially, Convex team created several components, but the ecosystem has grown and service teams now create their own components for services like PostHog, Mux, AgentMail, and others. OneSignal seems like a natural addition to this ecosystem.

Ideally, the component could cover as much of the server-side OneSignal functionality as possible with Convex, while the client-side OneSignal SDK would still remain the responsibility of the app. If a full integration is too large initially, Push, Email, and SMS would be the most important features.
