Add 3 resources: ClusterControl, Testcontainers (MySQL module), Amazon Aurora MySQL (#109)
Daily automated resource-catalog update. Checked existing titles/links across all five sections, plus the still-open resources/auto-2026-10-14 PR (#104, SchemaSpy/Mydbops/Vettabase/Clever Cloud MySQL/Oracle 1Z0-922), to avoid duplicates. `hugo --minify` builds with 0 errors. - content/resources/software/clustercontrol/ — Severalnines ClusterControl, agentless MySQL/MariaDB/Galera cluster management (Community + paid tiers). - content/resources/software/testcontainers-mysql/ — Testcontainers' MySQL module for Docker-based integration testing (MIT licensed). - content/resources/saas/amazon-aurora-mysql/ — Amazon Aurora MySQL-Compatible Edition, AWS's managed MySQL-wire-protocol database. Amazon Aurora MySQL-Compatible Edition is AWS's relational database engine that speaks the MySQL wire protocol while replacing MySQL's storage layer with Aurora's own distributed, log-structured storage, decoupled from compute and replicated six ways across three Availability Zones. AWS positions it for higher throughput than stock MySQL on comparable hardware, using SysBench-based benchmarks as its point of comparison.

It offers On-Demand (per instance-hour, no upfront commitment) and Reserved Instance pricing, plus an Aurora Serverless option billed per second in Aurora Capacity Units that scales compute automatically with load. Features include Multi-AZ failover to in-cluster Aurora Replicas, a Global Database option for cross-region disaster recovery and low-latency reads, and Parallel Query for running analytical scans against the transactional dataset. Both Aurora editions are covered by multiple AWS compliance programs, including SOC 1/2/3, PCI DSS, and HIPAA eligibility (subject to AWS's shared-responsibility model and a signed BAA for PHI workloads).

ClusterControl is Severalnines' database-cluster management platform. Its `cmon` controller backend deploys, monitors, manages, and scales database clusters from a web UI, covering MySQL, MariaDB, Galera Cluster, PostgreSQL, and other open-source databases alongside some proprietary engines. For MySQL-family deployments it handles cluster deployment, automated failover and node recovery, backup scheduling (via mysqldump, Percona XtraBackup, or Mariabackup), and performance/query monitoring.
24+
25+
It ships as a single binary across Community, Advanced, and Enterprise editions — the Community edition is free with no time limit and covers deployment and monitoring, while paid tiers add features such as advanced backup management, scaling, and load-balancer deployment. New installs get a 30-day trial with full Enterprise functionality before reverting to Community. It's installed via a self-hosted shell installer on RHEL/Rocky/AlmaLinux, Ubuntu, Debian, or SLES (x86_64), or run from an official Docker image.

Testcontainers is a library for writing tests that run real dependencies — databases, message brokers, browsers — as disposable Docker containers instead of mocks. Its MySQL module provides a ready-made container class (`MySQLContainer` in Java, `mysql.Run` in Go, `MySqlContainer` in Node.js) that starts a real MySQL server, exposes a JDBC/connection URL, and tears the container down when the test finishes, so integration tests exercise an actual database engine rather than an in-memory stand-in. A sibling MariaDB module follows the same pattern.
20+
21+
The project has official modules maintained for Java (`org.testcontainers:mysql`), Go (`testcontainers-go/modules/mysql`), Node.js (`@testcontainers/mysql`), and Python, each published under the MIT license and installable from the respective language's package registry (Maven Central, Go modules, npm, PyPI). It's commonly used to seed a schema from `/docker-entrypoint-initdb.d/` and run migrations or application code against the containerized instance as part of a CI pipeline.
