Question on update to regular OpenWRT #64

I liked your build very much, after having used it for several months, but I need to update it the proper way.
I have Wireguard, Adguard and nfs shares set up, and I liked the option of possibly using docker containers.

Questions:

  • will flashing your latest OpenWrt 24.10 2025.12.19 screw up my current settings? or it will just look like a regular update?
  • could I just seamlessy update through https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/installation/attended.sysupgrade if my current version is between 23.05 and 24.2? Is 23.05 or earlier less seamless to update in the way they say on the docs?
  • if there are issues with the other 2 questions what is your general recommendation to more seamlessly port everything to a vanilla OpenWrt version?

Not tinkering too much with the router itself, at most checking ports and possibly unwanted devices popping up in the network. So i would really appreciate some help figuring out how to keep my system in check, with minimal effort re-setting up everything...

I was debating about writing in the issue section, though I hope this issue is also useful for other users who have similar experience as me.
