Network congestion persists on opencode Go plan (Taiwan, GMT+8) #41635

Description

@spyang1963-pattern

Summary

User subscribed to the opencode Go plan (upgraded from free) to resolve recurring network lag/congestion, but the congestion persists. Sessions get stuck and become unresponsive for long periods; communication only recovered hours later.

Environment

  • Plan: opencode Go (upgraded from free after agent recommended it for lag issues)
  • Client: opencode CLI
  • OS: Windows 11, Asia/Taipei (GMT+8)

Symptoms

  • Recurring network lag ("卡頓") during the free plan, which motivated the upgrade.
  • After upgrading to Go, the same congestion continued. The user reports the session was unresponsive for an extended period and only started responding again later.
  • During the stuck period, scheduled/related work was affected and could not be completed on time.

Timeline

  • The user has experienced this multiple times on both the free and Go plans.
  • Most recent occurrence: the session became unresponsive and communication was only restored after several hours (roughly the evening of 2026-08-10 until the early morning of 2026-08-11, Asia/Taipei time).

Expected behavior

  • A paid (Go) subscription should provide stable, responsive connections.
  • Sessions should not remain unresponsive for hours.

Request

  • Please investigate server-side load/capacity for sessions in this region (Taiwan, GMT+8).
  • Confirm whether the plan tier affects connection stability, and if not, what the root cause of the recurring congestion is.

Please do not ignore this report - the user upgraded specifically to address this and is considering whether to cancel the subscription.
