From 72068fec60fdb56002f8b330360f28ffca0ea901 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: David Green Date: Sun, 25 Oct 2026 16:13:39 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] compute the tile cover once per camera MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit The tile layer computed the cover, its buffer and its keep set for both the build and the tile update event of each camera, and the separating axis test allocated for every tile it tested. While rotating at 60° on a Pixel 4a, the median build time per frame drops from 7.3 ms to 4.7 ms; the tiles loaded don't change. --- lib/src/layer/tile_layer/tile_cover.dart | 7 +- .../tile_layer/tile_cover_calculator.dart | 98 +++++++++++++------ lib/src/layer/tile_layer/tile_layer.dart | 38 +++++-- 3 files changed, 101 insertions(+), 42 deletions(-) diff --git a/lib/src/layer/tile_layer/tile_cover.dart b/lib/src/layer/tile_layer/tile_cover.dart index 3e9a6a5e7..da4d11475 100644 --- a/lib/src/layer/tile_layer/tile_cover.dart +++ b/lib/src/layer/tile_layer/tile_cover.dart @@ -39,6 +39,7 @@ class _TileSet implements TileCover { Set? _wrappedTiles;
