Unleashed Recompiled: Unable to create KIO worker

When trying to launch Unleashed recompiled through HMM, an error window simply stating "Unable to create KIO worker. Unknown protocol 'unleashedrecomp'." pops up, and the game does not start. Happens whether using a flatpak install of Unleashed Recompiled or a bin install. I am using the flatpak version of HMM. It also doesn't seem to matter if any codes or mods are enabled or not, or if the mod loader is even enabled, launching the game through HMM still gives the error. Both Frontiers and SXSG launch flawlessly.

Running CachyOS 7.1.5-1 64-bit with KDE Plasma 6.7.3

This sounds like an issue with your system or flatpak. While the Unleashed Recompiled flatpak is installed, does running xdg-open unleashedrecomp: start the game on your system?

No, it makes the same error window pop up.

You will need to figure out why it is not working. This sounds like an issue with flatpak not registering handlers for your system.

you have to add %u to the end of the command line arguements. then it should work (or at least it does for me)

That did indeed work. Thanks a ton, a fair bit of googling turned up nothing helpful, and I never would have found that

Does HMM have the %u included by default? Nevermind it should as it is part of Exec. Not sure why it is suddenly nolonger able to launch with no URI input.

dunno, for me it's only an issue if i'm using the HMM binary, but mods still apply to the game so you could just launch it with an application launcher and it works fine

Though if you do only plan on supporting the flatpak, wouldn't it just be easier to just launch the flatpak using flatpak run instead?

Nope, refuses to open

the only way iI can get it to work is to get it like this

Exec=/usr/bin/flatpak run --branch=master --arch=x86_64 "--command=/app/bin/UnleashedRecomp" io.github.hedge_dev.unleashedrecomp %u

I don't think I have any control over that. Not exactly sure why it is failing when the desktop file isn't accepting an input. Does running xdg-open hedgemm: give any errors?

no, both the flatpak and the binary work just fine
