Hey.
Not sure if that's now the right place for feature requests. At least https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo/issues/new/choose says that those shouldn't be filed there anymore.
What I'd like to have is an option, that allows users to disable the
(Empty)subentry of directories that are in the treeview (i.e. the "left side" of nemo).I personally never found it particularly useful, and rather just annoying to have the item in the tree, which gives no real information.
The information that the folder is "empty" is already given, when there are no other items when it's expanded.
Actually, the information is in a sense even misleading, cause if
/org/nemo/sidebar-panels/tree/show-only-directoriesistrueit will show(Empty), when there is no subdirectory, but there still may be files in the directory (which are just not displayed).Speaking expanded/collapsed folders: If the
(Empty)would be disabled, and a directory has no other entries (that is: any files if/org/nemo/sidebar-panels/tree/show-only-directoriesisfalse, respectively any (sub)directories if it istrue), the arrow for expanding the directory, should not even appear (as there would be nothing to expand) and thus the absence of the arrow would already indicate that there are not (sub)directories (respectively files) in it.Thanks,
Chris.
