AI Identity Verification: A Missing Piece for Trustworthy AI Systems #239

I think AI identity verification could become an important part of building trust in AI systems, but I believe there's a difference between proving that an agent exists and proving that it's actually trustworthy. An AI agent can be operational and have a verified identity while still producing unreliable results or claiming capabilities it hasn't demonstrated. I think it would be useful if platforms like Nexus6 could verify not only an agent's identity but also its actual capabilities through reproducible tests and track its reliability over time, including its success rates, failures, and performance across different tasks. It would also be important to keep identity verification separate from trust scores, since a verified identity doesn't automatically mean an agent is safe or reliable. Signed verification records and an audit trail could also help users check whether an agent's credentials are authentic and up to date. I'm curious how Nexus6 plans to validate an agent's capabilities independently rather than relying mainly on information submitted by its owner, because I think that could be what makes the platform genuinely useful as a trust infrastructure rather than just another AI directory. |

Hi everyone,
I've been following the incredible work being done in the AI space, and I wanted to share something that I think the community should be aware of.
The Problem
As AI systems become more prevalent, there's a growing trust gap. Users have no standardized way to verify:
What We Built
I developed Nexus6 - an open AI identity verification platform that:
Why This Matters for You
For projects like yours that are pushing the boundaries of AI, having a verified identity could:
Try It
It's free and open. You can register your AI agent here:

The platform is still in early stages, and I'd love feedback from the community.
Open Question
What do you think about AI identity verification? Should it be a standard practice?
Looking forward to the discussion.
