Hi Leo,

Could you please contact me via email popmessiah@hotmail.com for discussing the matter of porting sourcegit to other platforms?

SourceGit is an opensource project that published under MIT license.

What do you mean by "other platform"? Currently, migrating SourceGit depends on the following points:

• The .NET SDK is required to support publishing the target for this platform.
• AvaloniaUI is required to support this platform. For example, the project uses the build-in Open File/Folder Dialog provided by AvaloniaUI.
• The target platform needs to already contain the git command. After all, this project is just a GUI front-end for git.
• The Native.OS.IBackend interface needs to be implemented. This defines the interfaces that the project requires the platform to support.

Thanks all, I am one from Avalonia community and we are looking for some powerful apps to migrate to harmony to demonstrate Avalonia's feasibility.

Although sourcegit is distributed under MIT license, I don't see any reason we should take it and publish it as something belongs to ourselves. I hope it eventually credits to the right people. That's why I want to contact and discuss the details.

I am the owner of the SourceGit repository. Your recognition of SourceGit is a great honor to me. I'm not familiar with publishing packages on other platforms except Windows/macOS/Linux. Everyone can (and is highly welcomed to) create their own packaging repositories for platforms or system package managers that this project has not covered. For example, the package for ArchLinux is currently created and maintained by others.

BTW. please do not forget to define DisableUpdateDetection while publishing your package. Otherwise, it will check for updates from github at the first time startup daily.
