Why

DataForSEO AI Optimization panel baseline 2026-10-29 (python3 scripts/ai_visibility_panel.py report --tag 2026-10-29 in Mission Control) for unbranded prompts slow-network, push, a11y, location, and camera:

Engine Named RocketSim Cited rocketsim.app
Perplexity 1/5 (camera only) 5/5
ChatGPT 0/5 0/5
Claude 0/5 0/5
Gemini 0/5 0/5

Perplexity already cites these docs but often omits the product name. Answer-first openings name RocketSim in plain language LLMs can quote.

Measurement (controlled cohort): Re-run the panel on 2026-11-26 and compare named + cited counts for the five cohort pages only (below). Additional pages map to other unmeasured panel prompts (record, build-time, userdefaults, network-monitor, physical, agent-control, sim-mcp, agent-skill) but are not part of the success metric.

Controlled cohort (do not edit further in this PR)

Page Paragraph Verified against
features/networking/network-speed-control.mdx RocketSim's Network Speed Control slows down or turns off network access for your iOS Simulator app while your Mac stays online. Choose 3G, Edge, 100% packet loss, or Simulator Airplane Mode from the side window Networking tab or the rocketsim network CLI. Apple's Network Link Conditioner can throttle traffic too, but it affects your whole Mac; RocketSim scopes changes to the Simulator app you configured. Same page (profiles, CLI, Mac stays online); FAQ vs Network Link Conditioner
features/app-actions/push-notifications.md RocketSim lets you test push notifications on the iOS Simulator by saving the notification JSON as an App Action and sending it from App Group settings or the side window. You can resend the same payload while you iterate on notification handling without a physical device. App Group JSON editor, Send button, side window
features/accessibility/voiceover-navigator.md RocketSim's VoiceOver Navigator shows numbered overlays on the iOS Simulator for VoiceOver reading order and lets you step through elements with keyboard shortcuts from the side window Accessibility tab. You can check rotors, activation, and focus without enabling VoiceOver on a physical iPhone. VoiceOver tab, overlay, keyboard navigation sections
features/app-actions/location-simulation.md RocketSim simulates GPS on the iOS Simulator from the Locations side window: built-in scenarios, custom map pins, saved App Actions, and car or walking routes with custom coordinates. The Simulator exposes similar built-in scenarios on its own; RocketSim adds repeatable App Actions, map coordinate picking, and optional physical-device support in recent releases. Locations tab, scenarios, App Actions, physical-device sections (commit b4bf5f1 dropped unverified "route editing")
features/capturing/simulator-camera-support.md RocketSim streams a camera connected to your Mac into the iOS Simulator through RocketSim Connect so you can exercise scan, capture, and preview flows without a physical iPhone. Xcode's Simulator does not expose a camera to apps by default; enable the feed from the Capture side window after camera authorization. FAQ, Simulator camera section, RocketSim Connect setup

Page Paragraph Verified against
features/accessibility/accessibility-audit.md RocketSim runs an accessibility audit on the current iOS Simulator screen from the Accessibility window Audit tab or the rocketsim accessibility-audit CLI, reporting missing labels, small tap targets, low contrast, and VoiceOver issues with a score and fix prompts. Use the side window for a manual pass or automate audits, fixes, and re-validation in an agent loop. Intro + UI/CLI sections, FAQ
features/accessibility/environment-overrides.md RocketSim toggles accessibility settings, Dark Mode, color filters, and Dynamic Type on the iOS Simulator from the Accessibility side window Toggles tab without opening Simulator Settings. Change Increase Contrast, Reduce Motion, Liquid Glass options, or text sizes and see the effect in your running app immediately. Toggles tab overview + following sections
features/accessibility/toggles-and-dynamic-text.md RocketSim exposes iOS Simulator accessibility environment toggles from the side window Accessibility tab so you can switch Increase Contrast, color filters, Dynamic Type, and related settings while the app stays on screen. Xcode provides similar environment toggles, but RocketSim keeps them one click away in the Toggles tab. Opening paragraphs + toggle list
features/app-actions/app-directory-access.md RocketSim opens your iOS Simulator app's sandbox, caches, documents, derived data, and app group folders from the side window directories menu or the status bar app submenu with one click. You no longer need to dig through CoreSimulator paths that change on every install. Available directories + how to access
features/app-actions/deeplinks-universal-links.md RocketSim tests deep links and Universal Links on the iOS Simulator by saving each URL as an App Action and triggering it from the side window, including optional runtime placeholders in the path. Keep every supported link in one app group instead of scattered notes or hosted HTML pages. App Actions setup + argument sections
features/app-actions/privacy-permissions.md RocketSim grants, revokes, and resets iOS Simulator permission states for camera, location, photos, push notifications, and the other supported types from the side window permissions picker or the status bar menu. Reset push notification permission to walk through your onboarding prompt again without reinstalling the app. Supported permissions, actions, push reset section
features/app-actions/quick-actions.md RocketSim runs common iOS Simulator testing actions from the side window Quick Actions pane, including relaunch with locale or time zone, launch and terminate, clipboard transfer, and keychain reset. Use one click instead of switching to Xcode or Simulator menus for the same chores. Locale/timezone, lifecycle, clipboard, keychain sections
features/build-insights/build-insights.md RocketSim records your Xcode builds in Build Insights on the Mac, showing daily counts, durations, incremental versus clean builds, and trends filtered by scheme or time range. It classifies builds by analyzing Derived Data, so you do not add build phase scripts to collect metrics. What gets tracked + statistics sections
features/build-insights/xcode-build-optimization-agent-skill.md RocketSim tracks how long your Xcode builds take in Build Insights while the open-source Xcode Build Optimization Agent Skill gives an AI assistant a structured workflow to investigate slow builds and draft fixes. After you apply changes, use Build Insights again to see whether clean or incremental times improved. Opening workflow bullets + skill section
features/capturing/120-fps-recordings.md RocketSim records the iOS Simulator at 120 frames per second when you enable 120 FPS Recordings under RocketSim Settings → Captures, producing smoother demo and marketing footage than the default 30 FPS capture. Enabling 120 FPS section (Apple Silicon only in meta description, not claimed in intro)
features/capturing/app-store-connect-optimization.md RocketSim converts iOS Simulator screenshots and recordings to App Store Connect requirements when App Preview Optimized is enabled under RocketSim Settings → Captures, handling JPEG conversion, resolution, H.264 encoding, silent audio, and the other conversion steps described below. What gets optimized section
features/capturing/device-hub-support.md RocketSim attaches its side window to iOS Simulators running in Xcode 27 Device Hub, including Compact Mode, so captures, app actions, accessibility tools, and design comparison stay available beside the new host app. Focus the Simulator inside Device Hub to use screenshots, recordings, and the same side-window workflows you rely on in Simulator.app. Side window + Device Hub sections
features/capturing/floating-thumbnail.md RocketSim shows a floating thumbnail after each iOS Simulator screenshot or recording so you can copy, save, trim, drag into Slack or App Store Connect, or open the post editor without opening Finder first. Hover and press Spacebar for a quick preview, or swipe the thumbnail away when you are done. Available actions + preview sections
features/capturing/touch-indicators.md RocketSim draws touch indicators on iOS Simulator screenshots and recordings when you enable them from the Captures side window tab or Settings → Captures, with optional stroke styling, color, pointer size, and touch attention mode that follows your mouse. Recorded pinch and rotate gestures show both touch points in the exported video. Enabling + touch attention + pinch sections
features/design-comparison/grids-and-rulers.md RocketSim overlays alignment grids and draggable rulers on the iOS Simulator or a connected physical-device preview from the Comparing tab so you can check spacing against your layout. Grids and rulers follow the orientation the Simulator draws, including iPhone Duo when it is closed or fully unfolded. Grid/ruler steps + Duo paragraph
features/design-comparison/magnifier.md RocketSim magnifies pixels on the iOS Simulator from the Comparing tab Magnifier view so you can inspect alignment, spacing, and colors at zoom level. Hold ⇧ Shift and move the mouse to reposition the loupe, then copy a sampled color as Swift, UIKit, or AppKit code. Enabling magnifier + copy color sections
features/design-comparison/slow-animations.md RocketSim slows iOS Simulator UI transitions from the Comparing tab Slow Animations control so you can inspect timing, movement, and visual details while animations play. The toggle works in Simulator.app and Xcode 27 Device Hub because it does not rely on a screen-relative overlay. Enable section + Device Hub note
features/networking/networking-insights.md RocketSim stores historical URLSession traffic from your iOS Simulator app so Networking Insights can chart failure spikes, duplicate calls, slow endpoints, and related patterns across sessions. Open it from the Welcome view after RocketSim Connect is configured; it complements the live Network Monitor rather than replacing it. Historical vs monitor + analysis groups
features/physical-devices/live-preview-and-captures.md RocketSim mirrors a USB-connected iPhone or iPad beside its side window so you can preview live hardware, capture screenshots, GIFs, and video with device audio, and apply design-comparison overlays on real output. Pair the device in Xcode, connect over USB, then open RocketSim to attach the preview window and capture tools. Connect + capture sections
features/agentic-development/index.md To let Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or another coding agent verify an iOS app in the Simulator, build and run it with Xcode or your usual tooling first, then install the version-matched rocketsim CLI and RocketSim Agent Skill from Settings → CLI & Agent. RocketSim stays connected to the Simulator so the agent can read visible elements, interact, capture screenshots, and confirm UI changes without replacing your build step. Build vs verify split + skill list
features/agentic-development/browser-preview.md RocketSim serves a live, interactive view of a booted iOS Simulator in your browser through the rocketsim preview command, with device bezel, Simulator switching, clicks, scrolls, and keyboard typing. Review flows without keeping Simulator.app in front of you, or turn on-screen feedback into prompts for your coding agent. Start preview + live input sections

Mission Control experiment handoff

  • Hypothesis: Answer-first intros raise named mentions on unbranded how-to prompts without hurting cites.
  • Baseline (2026-10-29): Perplexity named 1/5, cited 5/5 on cohort prompts; ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini 0/5 named and cited each.
  • Success (cohort only): 2026-11-26 panel: Perplexity names RocketSim on ≥3/5 with rocketsim.app cited on ≥4/5; ≥1 of ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini names RocketSim on ≥1/5 when citing the domain.
  • Failure: Named counts flat and cite rate drops on the cohort.
  • review_on: 2026-11-26

Guidance for future changes

docs/CONTENT-AUTHORING.md has a new section, "Name RocketSim in answers for AI assistants" (answer-first opening paragraph that names RocketSim, claims only from the page itself, varied wording, question-style headings and faq, update the opening paragraph and the llms.txt feature list when a feature changes). docs/AGENTS.md routes to it for documentation and blog work, and the blog SEO checklist links to it.

Open five how-to pages with short paragraphs that name RocketSim and state the task outcome so answer engines can quote them directly.
Add quotable RocketSim-first openings on 21 additional feature docs while leaving the five measured cohort pages unchanged.
