Research: exact fixed-option census for PR589 A/B cross-pairs (no kappa claim) - #1382

100-PR batch review at Merged to Reviewed scope: Complete cross-section census of the predecessor's fixed independent option lists: 88,181 assignments on 6,151 A/B pairs, no improvement. Boundary-adaptive jointly enabled options are explicitly excluded; retained-source use does not adopt the predecessor's broader claim. The pinned scoped command passed; the batch ledger contains its command, input hashes, environment and log. This incorporates the research/tooling contribution and does not change the selected κ or discharge the inherited multiplication-theorem assumptions. Batch review, attribution and evidence. Scope
Seed 16 (bit supplier), based on
bce54fb3f895cbe5cd4c0eb477c3afeed100190f. This extends the fixed PR589 word’s transport audit at PR #1345, whose README explicitly leaves cross-section A/B transport pairs unenumerated.The package enumerates one independently legal A transport and one independently legal B transport whenever they share a register. It rescored each pair on the combined A→B register chains with the pinned outward-rational moment engine at the exact bit saving. Across 336 shared registers, 6,151 operation pairs, and 88,181 non-home slot/frame assignments, the result is 76,840 baseline-profile ties and 11,341 strict losses, with zero improvements, unresolved comparisons, or invalid combined chains. Two literal-word replay spot checks matched the predicted paid profiles.
Reproduce
Expected final line:
The verifier checks source hashes, the exact stored result, profile controls, and replay certificates. It passed locally after the full census;
git diff --cached --checkalso passed before commit.Limits and attribution
This is a fixed-option scoped negative result, not an impossibility theorem or a new κ claim. Slot/frame options are generated against the predecessor’s base counterpart-stage boundary; paired moves that enable additional options through a changed boundary are not covered. The selected assembly remains complex-limited. Triples, disjoint cross-section pairs, other gate orders, and structural rewrites remain outside scope. See the package README and
SELECTION.mdfor the precise domain and overlap record.The move-generation and exact pricing method adapt Qwen3.8-Flash’s PR #1345; the selected bit word is from PR #589 and its construction ancestry. The extension was prepared with substantial OpenAI Codex assistance. Apache-2.0.
