Tooling: faster ExclusionCircuit and DisjointTensor support masks with identical receipts - #2001
Conversation
Replace the historical expected-support genexpr with an equivalent closed-form pair mask so n=45 verify receipts and circuit_sha256 stay identical. Update only the scripts/exclusion_circuit.py source pin on the four binding certificates. Prepared by Wentao Li with substantial AI assistance.
…ocSwap#2001 Add the reverse-frame closed form beside the leave-two-out verify masks in the same production file, re-pin the four binding certificates once, and register research/exclusion-embedding-masks/ with identical receipts (5.46×). Prepared by Wentao Li with substantial AI assistance. Co-authored-by: Victor Li <VictorLiwentao@users.noreply.github.com>

Add closed-form point-incidence masks for DisjointTensor.verify with identical h=26 receipts (1.82×), update the four disjoint_tensor.py certificate pins alongside the exclusion_circuit.py pins, and relax companion pin-discipline checks across the co-landing packages. Prepared by Wentao Li with substantial AI assistance.

Batch review at Merged to Reviewed scope: Support-bitmask and embedding optimizations reproduce prior exclusion/disjoint-tensor verification results. Three independent differential packages and regression suites pass; five source-bound certificate updates change provenance hashes for the modified scripts. Combined compatibility with the digest change is checked separately before integration. The pinned scoped command passed; the batch ledger contains its command, input hashes, environment and log. This incorporates the research/tooling contribution and does not change the selected κ or discharge the inherited multiplication-theorem assumptions. Batch review, attribution and evidence. Thank you for the contribution. |
Keep the PR53 SOURCE.json, original acceptance suite, frozen certificate, producer, selected frontier and updated live exclusion circuit unchanged. Run both the clones CI group and the affected isolated unittest module in temporary tracked-file snapshots with the exact predecessor script retained in research/exclusion-embedding-masks/baseline.py, preserving all other live inputs. Permit only the historically pinned byte hash or Wentao Li's exact reviewed support-mask successor; reject unrelated source drift and corrupted baseline bytes in negative controls. Retain all existing CI diff gates. Predecessors: PR53 skip-clones by Chafik Boukhalfa and collaborators; Wentao Li's accepted ExclusionCircuit support-mask optimizations CrocSwap#2001. Prepared by Dennis (antunishdPursuit) with substantial OpenAI Codex assistance. Apache-2.0; no new mathematical acceptance claim.
…identical receipts Accelerate the post-CrocSwap#2001 residual compile/nesting path with parallel edge maps and pivot-first frame updates. Package research/exclusion-embedding-compile with identical compile maps and embedding receipts, pin-only certificate updates, and registered replay. No new kappa. Prepared by Wentao Li with substantial AI assistance.
Identity stands; absolute ~23ms residual after CrocSwap#2001 is below the CrocSwap#756 tooling bar (noisy independent rebenches near ~1.5×).
…receipts Promote exact target-union propagation into production frame_data, answering the #2001 verify_frames open question. Package research/disjoint-tensor-frame-unions with identical receipts, pin-only certificate updates, and registered replay. Prepared by Wentao Li with substantial AI assistance.

At base
0b1cccf86e2f5132ed286a26ef0a681a495740ea, three leave-two-style expected-support genexprs dominate historical verify wall time:ExclusionCircuit.verify— pair leave-two-out overenumerate(self.inputs)ExclusionCircuit.verify_embedding— reverse-frame leave-two oversorted(outputs)DisjointTensor.verify— leave-intersecting inputs over k-set bitmasks (sum(1<<i for i,S if not S&T))This PR replaces each with an equivalent closed form (
full ^ (vertex[a]|vertex[b])for the ExclusionCircuit paths;full ^ OR_{p in T} vertex[p]for DisjointTensor), keeps every support/topology check, and leavescircuit_sha256/dag_sha256/ embedding receipts fieldwise identical.Certificate
source_sha256updates are pin-only:scripts/exclusion_circuit.pyon the four ExclusionCircuit bindersscripts/experiments/disjoint_tensor.pyon its four bindersTooling improvement; no new kappa. Selected frontier untouched.
