Pure-Python drop-in for paired_cube_bit_word.py (about 12 s instead of about 110 s). Only the exact linear algebra changed; outputs match the pinned original byte for byte. Adds one new package and changes no existing file. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The pinned file is byte-identical in CrocSwap#168, CrocSwap#178, CrocSwap#182, CrocSwap#189 and CrocSwap#198; CrocSwap#168 is the lowest-numbered PR found carrying it. The three data files are also identical in CrocSwap#168. No code change. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
verify.py --against-main rebuilds main's PR181 tree from its own archive parts (hash-checked against BASELINE.json), regenerates the p=12 word, requires main's research/paired-cube-bit/out/ to match byte for byte and runs that tree's independent checker. Main's frozen physical layer is only reported on, not reproduced. No change to the generator. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Faster drop-in
paired_cube_bit_word.py:--p 12in ~12 s instead of ~110 s (~9x, measured back to back). Pure Python, outputs byte-identical to the pinned original. No new κ.The generator isn't on main yet, so this adds one self-contained package (
research/paired-cube-bit-fast/, original pinned from #168 at 4a3c769, also carried unchanged by #178, #182, #189 and #198) and changes no existing file.Equivalence is checked by byte-identical regeneration of the default p=12 word, not proved.
