The merged PR #2360 width-cap verifier authenticates
vendor/fine_moment.py, butSourceFileLoader.exec_module()can execute a preexisting bytecode cache instead. A temporary export with unchanged pinned source and a matching timestamp.pycexecuted a harmless sentinel under both normal and optimized-I -BPython.-Bsuppresses cache writes, not reads.Retain the bytes actually hashed and compile those same bytes into the arithmetic module. This covers direct and registered verifier calls and avoids reopening the source between authentication and execution.
Four new regression controls exercise timestamp and unchecked-hash caches under normal and optimized Python. Each must reproduce the existing receipt and leave the source and cached bytes unchanged. The existing read-only export, no-clobber and source/receipt tamper controls remain.
Validation on CPython 3.12.3: registered replay and a fresh committed archive outside Git both pass, including optimized execution and all eight export controls. Immutable inputs, vendored arithmetic,
DUAL.jsonandEXPECTED.jsonare unchanged. The existing b < 0.0016870 result is unchanged; this is not a higher κ or a selected-frontier change.Credit to ywz65's #2553 for general registered-runner cache isolation and David Arias C.'s #2766 for a related exact-source loader control. #2553 explicitly excludes direct verifier invocation and custom loaders; this fix closes that boundary for this certificate. The same correction is being applied to the open variable-frame certificate in #2406.
