Research consolidation / independent arithmetic verification; no new κ.

The archived campaign's nine J-versus-κ disagreements lacked an exact, independently replayable pair census. This package confirms all nine with new atanh-log and directed-integer moment intervals, resolves the pair denominator, and corrects one numerical bound in the original report.

  • All 289,180 pairs of 761 design records are covered: 1,511 identical-histogram ties, 287,660 agreements, and nine reversals. The nine reversals represent eight distinct histogram pairs among 496 histograms.
  • The reported |ΔJ| ≤ 0.9 bound has a concrete counterexample: u0089/u0302 has 0.9255615846 < |ΔJ| < 0.9255615847. This leaves the original nine-reversal finding intact.
  • Every distinct histogram has a strict rational moment bracket including all four idle ranks and the retained fallback. Historical floating J/κ scores never decide an ordering. The arithmetic κ map is bounded far enough to certify ordering, without claiming to recertify every stored final digit.

Only research/historical-j-order-reconciliation/ is added. Original source bytes, attribution and AI disclosures are retained. The selected frontier and upstream/ are unchanged.

Reproduce

python3 -I -B research/historical-j-order-reconciliation/validate.py

Expected final marker: PASS_HISTORICAL_J_RECONCILIATION_AND_CONTROLS.

The census and 11 controls pass on CPython 3.14.6 normally and 3.12.12 under -O. An isolated optimized relocation also passes with unchanged package bytes; falsified result receipts and output overwrites are rejected. All five selected-record tests and make selected-record-check pass. Eight GitHub blob identities and two archive-member hashes match their pins. Whitespace and one-package scope checks pass.

This does not regenerate or physically admit the 761 designs, replay all 47 historical constraints, verify the complex supplier, or discharge all-size/compiler, hosting, precision/tape and analytic assumptions. Full make verify, current-supplier cold replay, proof-assistant verification and remote CI success are not claimed.

OS-random seed 96, research consolidation. No pinned coordination issue exists; the local claim is completed and links the result. The overlap review covered 713 open PR bodies through #923, then refreshed arrivals through #926 before submission. Adjacent #743/#828/#867/#907 address different objects.

Credit Rohan Arun and the original campaign contributors for the data and original nine-reversal observation, DreamingOfClouds for the p=10 package, and the five-stage/bank/supplier predecessors named in the preserved notices. This work corroborates their finding and adds exact coverage and the scoped correction. Prepared for Ross Richardson (@RossRichardson) with substantial OpenAI Codex assistance, Apache-2.0. No independent human review or discovery priority for proxy misordering is claimed.

100-PR batch review at 419a92e2e3dd6b16e36694387c0e96ea900b5799.

Merged to main, preserving the original contributor commits and package attribution.

Reviewed scope: Exact archived J-versus-root ordering census, including the 0.92556 counterexample to a historical 0.9 gap statement.

The pinned scoped command passed; the batch ledger contains its command, input hashes, environment and log. This incorporates the research/tooling contribution and does not change the selected κ or discharge the inherited multiplication-theorem assumptions.

Batch review, attribution and evidence. Thank you for the contribution.
