The numpy 2.4.6 in the x86_64/generic SciPy-bundle has an x86-64-v2 baseline and refuses to import on CPUs that lack it. Rebuild it with the cpu-baseline hook in place, for `x86_64/generic` only.

Rebuild of the 2026.06
x86_64/genericSciPy-bundle, after EESSI/software-layer-scripts#319.numpy 2.4 raised its default x86-64 baseline to x86-64-v2, so the numpy 2.4.6 in the generic SciPy-bundle-2026.05-gfbf-2026.1 refuses to import on CPUs that only have x86-64:
The hook PR builds numpy with
-Dcpu-baseline=noneonx86_64/generic, and the dispatched x86-64-v2/v3/v4 kernels are still picked at runtime. This easystack rebuilds the bundle with the easyconfig that is deployed now (
from-commit: 3dd9051).It should be built with
arch:x86_64/genericonly, once the hook PR is merged. The older generic SciPy-bundles in 2023.06 and 2025.06 have an SSE3 baseline.
SSE3 is on every x86-64 CPU since 2005 and numpy checks for it at import, so I don't think those are worth rebuilding; the hook covers anything built from now on.
