… Docker Engine Kong's DNS client never consults /etc/hosts, and host.docker.internal only resolves via Docker's magic sentinel when a container is started with --add-host=host.docker.internal:host-gateway, which the quickstart script never does. On GitHub Actions' native Docker Engine runners (unlike Docker Desktop/OrbStack) this broke every MCP tools/call proxied through the AI Gateway MCP Server's config.url. Join the Petstore container to the quickstart's own network with --network-alias host.docker.internal so Docker's embedded DNS resolves it directly to the container, instead of relying on host-gateway routing.
