Student Timer

A simple web application for managing student check-ins and tracking time. It generates QR codes for students which can be scanned to toggle their check-in/out status.

Setup

1. Install dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt

2. Configure environment variables:

   • Copy .env.example to .env.
   • Update SECRET_KEY and ADMIN_PASSWORD in the .env file.

3. Initialize the database:

   python db_init.py

Running the Application

Start the server:

python app.py

The application will be accessible at http://localhost:5002.

Usage

• Initial Login: Access /login and enter the ADMIN_PASSWORD from your .env file.
• Student Management: Go to /admin to add, edit, or delete students.
• QR Codes: From the admin view, select students and click "Generate QR Cards" to download a PDF of QR codes. These codes link to the toggle endpoint for each student.
