Stacked on #126. Merge that first, then retarget this PR to main.

What

Removes the old container-image platform: the src/ API, cli/, deploy/, web-interface/, the Hugo docs site and the fake backend scripts. That's 254 files and about 37k lines. It was never deployed, and the HPC-style design in ARCHITECTURE.md replaces it. The code stays in Git history before this commit.

Also:

  • Rewrites README.md around the new design.
  • Updates the ARCHITECTURE.md references to the removed code.
  • Fixes a stale executors.md anchor in docs/agents/architecture/scheduler.md.

Why separate

This keeps the deletion reviewable apart from the new jobs/scheduling implementation, which will come in a follow-up PR stacked on this one.

Base automatically changed from docs/hpc-style-architecture to main October 28, 2026 23:36
The old platform (src/ API, cli/, deploy/, web-interface/, Hugo docs site,
fake backend scripts) was never deployed and is superseded by the HPC-style
design in ARCHITECTURE.md. It remains in Git history before this commit.

Rewrite the README around the new design, update ARCHITECTURE.md references,
and fix a stale executors.md anchor in scheduler.md.
