I think this should be higher up in the comment. It is the equivalent of yanking the USB drive. Maybe include directions for making sure the host is synced?
syncon linux. Windows is "safely remove" IIRC. Mac is eject.I was tempted to call this
yank_usb_drive()but that may not translate well.There was a problem hiding this comment.

I rewrote the doc for
unsafe_disable_usb_drive()again, giving a number of alternatives for safe disconnect in a Warning box. I also checked some things on various machines.Also I changed the visual of appearance of
CIRCUITPYto CIRCUITPY in the docs. In thestoragesection especially, it was typographically jarring to have so manycode-formatted words and phrases. Eventually we might also use boldface for settings.toml and other files, as we do in the guides, but that's for another day, and it's not so standard.
