Manual backport of #73859 to v3-3-test, cherry-picked with
-xfrom 5eba743.The automated backport failed on a context conflict in
test_trigger_timetable.py: main has run-immediately tests after the partition test that v3-3-test does not, so the new test was appended after them. Resolved by keeping only the new test.Requested by @ashb in #73859.
