Purpose

Preserve August 2026 motion/macro checkpoints whose temporary branch refs were removed, while keeping this branch based on current main.

This is a preservation-only PR. The patches and bundles must not be merged into the implementation wholesale; reconcile coherent pieces against the current architecture and trackers #44 and #554.

Verification

• Both format-patch payloads parse with git apply --stat.
• All three Git bundles pass git bundle verify; their exact SHA-256 values and prerequisites are recorded in the recovery README.
• Every commit in the three added ranges was scanned for strong credential markers, authenticated RTSP URLs, private-key headers, and private Windows user paths; no matches were found.
• The orphaned Windows mirror's 29 present changed paths match the firmware patch checkpoint byte-for-byte after Git clean filters; the remaining path is the source side of a recorded rename and is represented in the patch.
• The repository health check and its focused policy tests pass locally. No Rust build or link was performed.

Continuation

Review the artifacts in isolated worktrees, identify still-relevant slices, and port those slices through focused implementation PRs tied to #44/#554. Do not apply the artifacts over a dirty checkout.

Reconciliation checkpoint: useful implementation and architecture from this preservation PR have now been compared feature-by-feature against delivery PR #588 and recorded at exact commit f0a513e3.

The retained/discarded ledger is in docs/reconciliation/PR-592-motion-macro-checkpoints.md on #588. It records the exact five recovered tips, current successor files/tests, measured AVR rejection of the non-fitting cooperative writer, and every intentionally excluded wrapper/conflict/obsolete implementation category.

Per the user's instruction, #592 is not merged and not closed. Its artifacts remain available for review until the user confirms the reconciliation is satisfactory.

Closing this preservation-only recovery PR as superseded by the exact reconciliation ledger merged through #607: docs/reconciliation/PR-592-motion-macro-checkpoints.md records which August checkpoints are already represented, which were deliberately not copied, and why. No recovery commit is being discarded silently; the retained current implementations and deferred items are now tracked on main.
