Bug 2031897

estimated_time in template/en/default/bug/create/create.html.tmpl is
rendered as a hand-written input with no id, while its label comes from
bug/field-label.html.tmpl, which emits <label for="estimated_time">.
The label therefore referenced nothing, leaving the control without an
accessible name. Adding the id resolves it. The field is only rendered
for users in the time tracking group.

The other three controls named in comment 0 were checked and do not need
changes:

  • #att-data in attachment/createformcontents.html.tmpl is hidden
and aria-hidden="true". It is a base64 carrier for the uploader, not
a user-facing control, so it is not exposed to assistive technology.
  • #comment-preview in BugModal/new_comment.html.tmpl is a tabpanel
div with role="tabpanel" and aria-labelledby. It is not a
labelable element and already has an accessible name.
  • #comment receives id = "comment" from bug/comment.html.tmpl, so
the <label for="comment"> at line 555 of the create form resolves
    correctly.

I also checked the remaining hand-written controls on the create form.
short_desc already sets its id on a continuation line, and the two
push buttons take their accessible name from their value attribute, so
estimated_time was the only outstanding case.

Confirmed present on current main, which answers comment 1.
