Summary

Resolves #46 by recording that Option A (transfer to the cncf GitHub organization) has been enacted: cncf/endusers is now the canonical upstream repository, and castrojo/endusers is a personal fork.

Changes

  • ADR 0001 (adr/0001-site-ownership-and-cutover-path.md):
    • Mark status as Accepted (Option A) with decision date 2026-09-16.
    • Record the original Aug 17 deadline as missed/superseded by the transfer.
    • Update context and decision sections to reflect canonical CNCF ownership, separating remaining Phase 3 DNS cutover work.
    • Update adr/README.md table status to Accepted.
    • Add historical context note to adr/0001-stakeholder-outreach-draft.md.
  • ROADMAP.md:
    • Mark the Phase 2 long-term home decision item as completed (Option A Accepted).
    • Clarify the Phase 3 DNS cutover dependency under Launch and Phase 3 sections.
  • LAUNCH.md:
    • Update ownership goals, W-12 milestone, and dependency notes to reflect settled cncf/endusers ownership and staging at cncf.github.io/endusers.
  • Project Configuration & Docs:
    • Update README.md deployment description to reference cncf/endusers.
    • Update package.json repository URL to cncf/endusers.
    • Update docusaurus.config.js edit URLs and staging comment to cncf/endusers and cncf.github.io.
    • Update .github/workflows/deploy-gh-pages.yml staging SITE_URL to https://cncf.github.io.

Automated triage: this needs changes before landing.

  • Rebase onto current main and preserve its Docusaurus internal-document exclusions.
  • Update the remaining repository-identity consumers in docs/skills/hive-acmm-l3-maintenance/ from castrojo/endusers to cncf/endusers, while documenting the external Hive configuration migration as operator-owned.
  • Update the CI/repository-validation SITE_URL from the former personal Pages origin.
  • Remove the future-tense CNCF ownership language from MAINTAINERS.md.
  • Create and link the promised DNS/CNAME follow-up tracker.
  • Cite the TOC/TAB decision source, or narrow the ADR to the repository-transfer facts GitHub metadata proves.

Current state: merge conflict (DIRTY), DCO only, no repository validation or human review.

To resolve the overlap flagged in #233: #246 just merged/opened a fact-checked version of the README Deployment section and ADR 0001 status update (picking a narrower, verifiable framing per the review feedback above — no unverified TOC/TAB decision claimed, just the repo-transfer fact). Rebasing this PR on top of that should drop the now-redundant README/adr/0001-*.md hunks while keeping the parts that are still unique to this PR (LAUNCH.md/ROADMAP.md/MAINTAINERS.md updates and the deploy-gh-pages.yml SITE_URL fix, which is still needed — I couldn't push a workflow-file change with the token available to me).
