Publish arrow-pg and datafusion-pg-catalog with the DataFusion 55 bump?

Would it be possible to publish arrow-pg and datafusion-pg-catalog from a commit that includes the DataFusion 55 bump?

main moved to DataFusion 55.1 in #421 on 2026-09-15, but the newest versions on crates.io still require datafusion ^54:

• arrow-pg 0.15.0 (2026-07-19) → datafusion ^54 (behind the datafusion feature)
• datafusion-pg-catalog 0.18.3 → datafusion ^54

We use both to serve a Postgres wire frontend over a DataFusion catalog, so while they require ^54 our whole workspace is pinned to DataFusion 54 — the two crates are the only things holding it there. datafusion-flight-sql-server, datafusion-federation and datafusion-functions-json have all published for 55 already.

No urgency, and no expectation — we've decided to wait rather than pin to a git revision, and are asking mainly to know whether a release is likely in the near term or whether we should plan around a longer wait. If there's anything blocking a release that we could usefully help with, I'm happy to take a look.

Thanks for these crates — the pg_catalog work in particular has saved us a lot.

Yes @bobby , we are currently blocked by geodatafusion and datafusion-python for its datafusion 55. You can use git pin for now. Once the upstream is ready, I will push a release for 55.
