I am a biochemist by training and worked as an immunologist and stem cell scientist through my PhD and postdoc. I got my PhD from the Université de Lausanne, with doctoral research at Harvard Medical School, and did postdoctoral work at Helmholtz Zentrum München and ETH Zürich. In a 2018 essay (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.1156360) I introduced the idea of decentralizing science and set out my vision of how open science should evolve on the web. I chair the ISCC Foundation.
