The old
aria-labelledbypointed at the select's own wrapping<div>, which contains no label text of its own — so screen readers got no usable name for the control. The new label matches the control's purpose (and its default "Filter by tags" option), giving assistive technology a real accessible name.No visual or behavioral change.
