Updates Polars to 2.0.0 (released October 6, 2026). The stable Python API docs now serve 2.x, so only self.release moves; the 2.0 docs keep the pages of the APIs they deprecated, so the index is unchanged.

Regenerating also picks up the MathFilter from #2752 (tracked in #2763).

Verified locally with thor docs:generate polars --force:

  • 939 pages generated without errors; index has the same 938 entries and 16 types as the production 1.44.1 index
  • 28 pages contain math, 404 <math> elements, no _math-fallback left behind
  • Checked series/api/polars.Series.ewm_mean and the expressions and series index pages in the app
  • docs.pola.rs answers slowly (3–4 s per page) and one run stalled after ~190 pages with 20 idle connections; a restart finished without changes. Mentioning it in case the maintainer's run does the same.

If you're updating existing documentation to its latest version, please ensure that you have:

  • Updated the versions and releases in the scraper file
  • Ensured the license is up-to-date (still MIT)
  • Ensured the icons and the SOURCE file in public/icons/your_scraper_name/ are up-to-date if the documentation has a custom icon
  • Ensured self.links contains up-to-date urls if self.links is defined
  • Tested the changes locally to ensure:
    • The scraper still works without errors
    • The scraped documentation still looks consistent with the rest of DevDocs
    • The categorization of entries is still good
