Jonathan Capalbo

I bring customer operations experience to business analysis, reporting, business systems, and project support. At Comcast/Xfinity, I built Power Automate report-distribution flows for a team of 10, investigated account and system issues, and corrected Excel formulas that omitted daily activity from monthly totals.

I'm pursuing an M.S. in Business & Information Systems at NJIT, with expected completion in August 2028. I'm available for permanent, full-time work and open to U.S. remote roles and relocation for a suitable opportunity.

Reporting and systems work

  • Activity Reporting: Excel and Tableau — Daily activity was missing from monthly totals; the Excel tracker adds validation and reconciled rollups. Workplace-origin, rebuilt with fictional data; Tableau and React are AI-assisted portfolio extensions.
  • Power Automate Report Distribution — Scattered daily reports led to Power Automate flows that filtered and sent reports through email and Teams for a team of 10. Workplace initiative; the public example is fictional, with no employer files reproduced.
  • Arcade Ticketing Modernization — Scattered issue reports led to a hypothetical ticketing proposal with current and future process maps, ten proposed requirements, acceptance criteria, traceability, and 14 planned UAT tests. The scenario is fictional; all tests are Not Executed, and no software was configured. Review the BA evidence pack.
  • Movie Rental Database — Separate titles, copies, and rentals in an academic Oracle SQL database, with a view of open rentals. Customer data is fictional; the AI-assisted portfolio revision is separate from the class submission.
  • NJIT Registrar ServiceNow Portal — Make registrar guidance easier to find through an academic school-lab portal with search, 42 articles in 12 categories, and a revised registration guide. No production deployment.

Additional technical work

  • FastAPI calculator: an academic application with a browser interface, PostgreSQL persistence, JWT authentication, and Docker.
  • Private Job-Search Operations System: a customized fork covering duplicate checks, source validation, resume verification, and application tracking. The public case study uses synthetic examples; application records and the customized repository remain private.
  • Integer-multiplication research contribution: a merged conditional finite construction and verification package, developed with substantial OpenAI Codex assistance. The result depends on the project's stated assumptions; it is not an unconditional theorem.

Professional tools include Excel, Power Automate, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneNote, Smartsheet, and CSG. SQL and ServiceNow examples are academic; Tableau includes coursework and the portfolio extension above.
