docs: replace restated upstream facts with pointers in actionlint, architecture, context7, improvement and 6 more #12697

Description

@kyle-sexton

Refs: #7292

Outcome

25 passages in 16 files state a fact an external source owns. Rewrite each as a pointer to the live upstream section, or remove it, so the next upstream change cannot leave a stale copy here. Plugins: actionlint, architecture, context7, improvement, review, bash-format, go-format, kindle-dedrm, machine-health, miro.

Done when

  • Every row below is fixed: the restated value is deleted, the local decision stays in this repository's own words, and the pointer goes to the exact upstream section with an as-of date and a recheck trigger, per .claude/rules/skill-bodies-state-current-rules.md. A record beside a restated value does not fix it. A row marked Remove has no local dependency on the fact.
  • The PR passes check-stamps.sh --trigger-less (plugins/attribution/skills/audit/scripts/check-stamps.sh) on the files it touches.
  • Each touched plugin has a changelog fragment.

architecture

  • plugins/architecture/skills/map-containers/SKILL.md:296-300 (r009). Pointer: https://mermaid.js.org/syntax/c4.html#c4-diagrams Drop the claim that mermaid C4 is experimental; keep the no-default key, the refusal of mermaid and the no-diagram fallback, and point at the Mermaid C4 page.
  • plugins/architecture/skills/map-context/SKILL.md:226-231 (r010). Pointer: https://mermaid.js.org/syntax/c4.html#c4-diagrams Drop the claim that mermaid C4 is experimental; keep the no-default key, the refusal of mermaid and the no-diagram fallback, and point at the Mermaid C4 page. Same text also at: plugins/architecture/skills/map-containers/SKILL.md:296; a row of its own covers it only if listed.
  • plugins/architecture/skills/map-landscape/SKILL.md:238-243 (r012). Pointer: https://docs.structurizr.com/dsl/language#systemlandscape-view Drop what each tool does or lacks for landscape views; keep that the mermaid output is a C4Context diagram without a focal system, and point at the Structurizr section and the Mermaid C4 page.

context7

  • plugins/context7/skills/lookup/SKILL.md:22,42-47 (r093). Pointer: https://github.com/upstash/context7#mcp-tools Drop the tool parameter names and call signatures; keep the check that the two context7 tools are in the tool list to choose the MCP path, and point at the MCP tools section.
  • plugins/context7/skills/lookup/SKILL.md:80 (r092). Pointer: https://www.msys2.org/docs/filesystem-paths/#automatic-unix--windows-path-conversion Drop the description of how Git Bash rewrites the path; keep the instruction to prefix ctx7 docs with MSYS_NO_PATHCONV=1 and point at automatic path conversion.
  • plugins/context7/skills/lookup/context/mcp.md:54-59 (r091). Pointer: https://github.com/upstash/context7#mcp-tools Drop the tool descriptions and the query-argument requirement; keep the local mapping from each MCP tool to its ctx7 command and point at the MCP tools section.

improvement

review

bash-format

  • plugins/bash-format/README.md:32-34 (r027). Pointer: https://github.com/mvdan/sh#shfmt Drop the description of what .editorconfig and --apply-ignore do; keep the decision to pass no style flags and to pass --apply-ignore, and point at the shfmt section.
  • plugins/bash-format/README.md:54-56 (r028). Pointer: https://github.com/koalaman/shellcheck/blob/master/shellcheck.1.md#rc-files Drop the walk-up discovery description for both tools; keep that config comes from the consumer's repository and point at ShellCheck RC FILES (shfmt's README for .editorconfig).

go-format

  • plugins/go-format/README.md:29-33 (r195). Pointer: https://pkg.go.dev/cmd/go#hdr-Generate_Go_files_by_processing_source (confirm the section) Generated README block: edit the template in scripts/sync-plugin-options-docs.py to drop the marker's spelling and goimports claim; keep the skip-generated-files decision and header-precedes case, and point at go generate docs.
  • plugins/go-format/README.md:74-81 (r197). Pointer: https://pkg.go.dev/golang.org/x/tools/cmd/goimports#overview (confirm the section) Drop the go install command, GOPATH remark and toolchain requirement; keep goimports-on-PATH, never downloaded, batch row skips and SessionStart probe reports, and point at the goimports docs.

kindle-dedrm

  • plugins/kindle-dedrm/skills/manage/SKILL.md:41 (r304). Remove. Delete the sentence on how Amazon stages installers; keep the rule never to open Kindle for PC while the block is disabled, except when actively syncing with the keyfinder ready.
  • plugins/kindle-dedrm/skills/manage/SKILL.md:42,45,70 (r305). Remove. Delete the sentences describing what the installer does and that the race is real; keep the rules never to run the cached installer, delete it, and follow the sync-finalize.sh logic.

machine-health

  • plugins/machine-health/skills/audit/reference/windows/check-catalog.md:747-748 (r326). Pointer: none found; The fetched Microsoft page covers command-line length and never mentions the 2047 User Path limit. Search learn.microsoft.com for the environment variable / System Properties editor length limit page and confirm it before linking. Drop the parenthetical describing the System Properties editor ceiling and silent discard; keep CRIT as this audit's own severity threshold and point at the owner for the limit.
  • plugins/machine-health/skills/setup/SKILL.md:274-281 (r328). Pointer: https://code.claude.com/docs/en/plugins/cli-reference#plugin-configure Drop the descriptions of configure's scope handling, the -s default, and exit-code and empty-string behavior; keep passing the scope plugin list reports and reading each route's output, and point at the section. Same text also at: plugins/knowledge/skills/setup/SKILL.md:88-95; a row of its own covers it only if listed.

Notes

Lines are as of 3bd42cabfe (https://github.com/melodic-software/claude-code-plugins/blob/3bd42cabfe6bdef37a05778d396869af0381bb51); locate each passage by its text if main has moved. Each rNNN is that row's number in the order of #7292's "Findings by plugin". Every row was upheld by three blind judges and survived a refutation pass, run report-only for #12072. Pointers are candidates: fetch each before writing it, and confirm the section still documents the fact.

    Proposed work class: work-class: scoped
Basis: automated intake triage; the lanes App applied this class.

    Size: Large
    Complexity: Low
    Uncertainty: Known
    Flags: none

Understood: a docs-only cleanup of 25 passages in 16 files across 10 plugins. Each passage restates an upstream fact. The issue asks for each to become a pointer to the live upstream section, with an as-of date and a recheck trigger. It also asks for check-stamps.sh --trigger-less to pass and for a changelog fragment per touched plugin. The outcome and the done-when items are exact, so I raised no open questions. Several pointers are marked "confirm the section", so the work needs a fetch first. The size is Large because it spans 10 plugins and may be better split per plugin. I found no duplicates among the open issues.

Automated triage, applied by the lanes App.

Not admitted to the issue lane yet: Size large: the split into sub-issues at intake is pending (owner Q93).
