[Shortcuts] Fixed shortcuts on macOS with Shift and Option modifiers - #385
Previously, we used key combinations defined in shortcuts.json, which worked on macOS as well, however, after we switched to using symbols, macOS stopped recognizing them, causing everything to break. While it would have been possible to redefine these symbols in shortcuts_mac.json, that would have required a significant amount of work, so it was decided to support the use of symbols on macOS instead.
Problem:
nativeKeycode() searched for a character in all tables of the keyboard layout, including the Shift and Option ones, but returned only the key code. keyCodeToString() then translated the key without modifiers, so e.g. `:` (Shift+; on US) became `;`, `(` became `9`, `_` became `-`. The translated sequence clashed with the shortcut for that character, and depending on the order of shortcuts one of them took over the other.
Changes:
- nativeKeycode() searches only the tables for the unmodified state and for Command (the latter holds the Latin characters of non-Latin layouts). Characters that require Shift or Option are not translated and are registered as is.
- Letters are matched regardless of case, since Qt::Key_A is `A`. - Only the keyboard type that UCKeyTranslate uses (LMGetKbdType) is searched.
QA: The shortcuts on macOS need to be thoroughly tested.
The macOS shortcut model now selects an input source by keyboard-layout ID and translates shortcuts using that layout. Native key mapping uses the active keyboard type and checks unmodified, Command, Shift, Option, and Option+Shift character tables. Deferred mappings are recorded after regular mappings when translated modifiers differ. New macOS tests cover punctuation behavior and letter mappings for US, German, and Russian layouts.

Explanation
The four active direct issues require macOS shortcut activation for shifted symbols. [#35206] maps : to Shift+; without replacing ;. [#35205] maps _ to Shift+- without replacing -. [#35204] maps ( to Shift+9. [#19389] maps { and } to their shifted bracket keys. nativeKeycode() selects the active keyboard type, matches letter case, and handles modifier tables. The new tests cover US, German, and Russian layouts, symbol conflicts, Option shortcuts, and non-Latin layouts. The tests do not send native macOS events, but the reviewed implementation covers the native layout translation path.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changed production code supports the linked macOS shortcut fix. Input-source lookup, LMGetKbdType, modifier-table selection, keypad exclusion, deferred mappings, and debug logging are required by that translation and conflict handling. The new tests, mocks, and CMake wiring validate these behaviors. No unrelated feature or change appears in the reviewed diff.

Explanation
The description explains the issue, motivation, affected behavior, implementation changes, linked issues, and QA need. However, it omits the required checklist from the repository template, including CLA, coding, build and manual-testing confirmations, prior-attempts review, unnecessary-changes review, unit-test status, and AI-assistance disclosure.
Resolution
Add the complete repository checklist to the description. Mark each applicable item accurately, provide the required AI-tool information if AI assistance was used, and include the requested build configuration or state why it is not applicable.

- Added keyboardType() helper, LMGetKbdType is loaded dynamically as Carbon is not linked.
Problem:
On e.g. the Russian layout Option+1 types `!`. Characters that require modifiers were registered as is, so Qt matched Option+1 against both `Alt+1` and `!`, treated the key press as ambiguous and activated neither shortcut.
Changes:
- A character that requires Shift/Option is translated to these modifiers and the key (`!` -> `Shift+1`) instead of being registered as is.
- Such translations are recorded last, so they don't take over the shortcuts bound directly to that combination of keys.

allow keypad candidates when keyCode represents a numeric digit, while
continuing to skip keypad punctuation candidates. Preserve the existing matching

Problem:
nativeKeycode() could find a character on a keypad key, while keyCodeToString() translates keypad keys to fixed characters regardless of the layout. E.g. on the Russian layout the keypad decimal key types `,`, so `Alt+,` was registered as `Alt+.` and made `Alt+Shift+7` ambiguous (`Shift+7` types `.`).
Changes:
- Keypad keys are skipped when searching for a character, as they have their own shortcuts (`Num+...`).
