The resume nudge no longer tells the coordinator to resume a lane that went idle hours or days ago: lanes idle longer than LANE_RESUME_MAX_AGE_H hours (default 6) are skipped.

What changes

  • lane_resume_nudge.py compared a new lane's description with every subagent meta file in the session, however old, so a session that ran for days could be told to resume a lane last active days earlier.
  • Last activity is the mtime of the lane's transcript (agent-<id>.jsonl), else its meta file. A lane whose mtime cannot be read is skipped. A missing, non-numeric or non-positive value means 6.
  • The nudge stays advisory and fails open.

Known limits

A finished lane touched within the window is still named; the advisory already says to spawn a new lane if it is finished.

Verification

Tests: lane_resume_nudge.py --selftest 11/11 (6 before), run-ci-tests --affected 5/5 (privacy gate clean), changelog fragments 23/23.

lane_resume_nudge.py no longer suggests resuming a lane that has been idle
longer than LANE_RESUME_MAX_AGE_H hours (default 6). Idle time is read from
the lane transcript's mtime, falling back to its meta file; a lane whose time
cannot be read is skipped, and a missing, non-numeric or non-positive value
falls back to 6.
