Restore the upstream README and drop the Claude Code adapter - #29
Conversation
The install stub pointed readers at Cursor setup. The README is the upstream text again, with the Droid install commands, the cursor-team-kit bundle credit, and the harness renames the rest of the port already uses. docs/harness/claude-code.md is a Cursor-to-Claude shim nothing in this port reads. verdict: changes requested (comment review, same account). not merging.
passes: validate plugin green at 2803587, Closes #8 / Closes #9, not a draft. docs/harness/claude-code.md is gone and nothing links to it. i diffed the readme against upstream pstack/README.md at 88d4751: tables, /sharpen row, principles, and sections are all there, and the install block is the droid one. the agents/ -> droids/, generalPurpose -> worker, setup path, and benny path renames are right.
blocking:
- L9 and L13 still name cursor as the harness. "this turns cursor into a real engineering team" and "cursor gives you the best of all worlds." are claims about the product the reader is running, not about working at Cursor, and multi-model isn't Cursor-only. the pr renamed the same kind of line at L51 and L110 ("so droid attaches", "droid's
/loop"), so do the same here:cursor->droidin those two sentences only. "ship high quality code at Cursor" and the Meta/Netflix/Cursor line stay.
non-blocking:
- L108 says how to keep
/poteto-modeon across turns, then says it fades. droid has no custom mode, so say that plainly, e.g. "droid has no persistent mode, so start each new task with/poteto-mode." - L36 and the subagents section don't list
poteto-agent-readonly/poteto-judgment-readonly, which landed in #26. not this issue's scope; fine as a follow-up.

| there's a growing sense that ai writes too much slop code. i agree. i don't want to ship like a team of twenty slop artists. throughput without quality is not a goal i aspire to. if you want to go fast, go deep first. | ||

| **pstack is my answer.** these are the same skills i use every day to ship high quality code at Cursor. this turns cursor into a real engineering team. the goal is not to maximize loc, in fact it's the opposite. pstack helps you write less, but higher quality code. |

blocking: "this turns cursor into a real engineering team" -> "this turns droid into a real engineering team". keep "ship high quality code at Cursor"; that one is about working there.

| **pstack gives you fearless parallelism.** when you can go deep on one agent and trust it to write good, verifiable code, you can truly parallelize with confidence. start multiple agents up with `poteto-mode` and trust that they'll apply rigorous engineering principles to their work. | ||
|
|
||
| **cursor gives you the best of all worlds.** every frontier model has its strengths and weaknesses. use any model with pstack. in fact, many of my skills use multi-model workflows to take advantage of each model's unique strengths. |

blocking: "cursor gives you the best of all worlds." -> "droid gives you the best of all worlds.". droid runs many models too, so this is the harness rename, not a rewrite.

| the full rules and playbooks live in [`skills/poteto-mode/SKILL.md`](./skills/poteto-mode/SKILL.md). | ||

| to keep [`/poteto-mode`](./skills/poteto-mode/SKILL.md) on across turns, start each new task with `/poteto-mode`. droid attaches it to that message, and it fades as the chat moves on. |

non-blocking: the sentence tells you how to keep it on, then says it fades. droid has no custom mode, so say that: "droid has no persistent mode, so start each new task with /poteto-mode."
The lines that say the tool turns into an engineering team and gives the best of all worlds were still calling the harness Cursor. Co-authored-by: Kaitian Xie <caelaxie@users.noreply.github.com>

verdict: pass at 1c06f87, merging.
- diffed against the last reviewed head 2803587: only L9 and L13 changed, both
cursor->droid. the Cursor biography lines are unchanged. - readme against upstream 88d4751: only the install block and the harness renames differ.
docs/harness/claude-code.mdis deleted and nothing points at it. validate pluginis green at 1c06f87, and the harness proof comment is at the same sha (marketplace add, install, list, cache HEAD match).droid execfailed on auth in the proof, which isn't part of the bar.Closes #8/Closes #9, not a draft.
the L108 wording and listing the read-only twins are still open as follow-ups, not blockers.
Closes #8
Closes #9
The README is upstream
pstack/README.mdat88d4751again, including the skill tables and the 0.15.29/sharpenrow. The install block is the Droid marketplace commands. The cursor-team-kit bundling credit stays under the title, anddeslop,control-cli, andcontrol-uiare no longer described as missing.Harness renames, only where a line names a Cursor-only feature:
agents/→droids/,generalPurpose→worker, plus one sentence forpoteto-judgmentbecause Task has no per-spawn modelcursor.comdocs → Droid install and "start each task with/poteto-mode"/loopand spec mode named as Droid's, not Cursor's plan mode~/.factory/AGENTS.md.factory/automations/benny//make-bot-uirow wakes a Droid/create-skilldescribed as the Droid user pane, not a Cursor built-inThe opening stays poteto's except the two harness names: "this turns droid into a real engineering team" and "droid gives you the best of all worlds." "ship high quality code at Cursor" stays. That one is about working there.
docs/harness/claude-code.mdis deleted. Nothing in the port links to it, and it only maps Cursor names onto Claude Code.
