    For color, #a1a1a1?

In python/bedevere#722 (comment) I'm suggesting AI-needs-explanation and AI-not-acceptable labels instead. If I don't hear objection by end of the day, I will proceed with these labels, and trigger the deployment of bedevere.

For some bikeshedding, - or no? We have a mix in our existing labels. Also, maybe needs explanation - AI and not acceptable - AI? That gives us room to add other reasons in the future. It would also sort them between the needs backport ... and OS-* labels rather than just after the version number and buildbot labels, though I'm not sure how much that really matters.

I'm happy with whichever pattern you choose :)

I omitted the - because that seems like the most common pattern 🤷‍♀️

No strong preference. We have been inconsistent in our labels 😅 There are needs backport to ... labels without the dash, and then there are OS-... and topic-... labels that use dash.

I'm going to go ahead with AI-... prefix for now (with dashes). We might need this mechanism on additional repos than just CPython but that's a larger work.

I ended up creating the AI-needs-explanation and AI-guidelines-not-met instead of AI-not-acceptable.
The labels are live now on the CPython repo. Bedevere will be merged and deployed soon.
