CLAUDE.md held only an `@AGENTS.md` import. Claude Code v2.1.277 and later read AGENTS.md directly when a repository has no CLAUDE.md, and its docs recommend removing a CLAUDE.md that holds nothing but that import. AGENTS.md stays the one instruction file for every coding agent. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
