The third 1.0.17 publish (log) failed with ENEEDAUTH: npm got no token from trusted publishing, and it only logs why at verbose level.

  • npm publish --loglevel verbose, so the trusted publishing exchange shows up in the log.
  • The version check and publish steps also run on manual runs from master (Actions tab), so a publish can be retried without a commit. Pull requests still never publish.

Merging retries the 1.0.17 publish.

Trusted publishing failed with ENEEDAUTH and npm only explains why in
verbose logs. Manual runs let a publish be retried without a commit.
