Gemini Live gets stuck in a 1011 resume loop and the interview ends itself

Observed behavior

With the default gemini-3.1-flash-live-preview, Gemini closes the Live socket with 1011 "Internal error encountered". codetrial resumes the session, but each resumed session closes again within 10-20 seconds. After 8 in a row codetrial ends the interview, so the practice session is lost with no report.

Sometimes it happens late (about 13 minutes in, after the interview had been working fine), sometimes almost immediately (1011 within 30 seconds in two sessions in a row after a restart). Right before the loop, Gemini often stops responding ("no output 20s after a prompt").

Expected behavior

The interview should keep going after a 1011, or at least recover once instead of looping until it gives up.

Reproduction

1. Set GOOGLE_API_KEY and the LiveKit settings in config/codetrial.env.local, leave GEMINI_LIVE_MODEL unset.
2. Start codetrial and open an interview
3. Within a few seconds to ~13 minutes, Gemini closes with 1011 and every resume closes again until codetrial ends the interview.

#157 shows the same 1011 close after "no output 20s". A comment there reproduced it without CodeTrial: during 2026-09-28 to 09-29, Gemini returned 1011 for any realtimeInput.text containing "candidate", and it recovered on 09-29. Your build, 77bff68, is recent and this happened after that recovery. So the deciding fact is whether the standalone probe in that comment also fails while you are seeing the loop. If it does, this is a new upstream window and belongs on #157. If the probe succeeds while CodeTrial loops, this is a separate problem and stays here. Separately, ending with no report after the eighth restart (src/livekit.rs:421) is worth keeping as its own request whatever the probe shows.
