Bumps jodit from 4.17.4 to 4.18.1.

Release notes

Sourced from jodit's releases.

4.18.1

🐛 Bug Fix

  • #1315 Pasting blocks into an empty line no longer leaves the caret on a line of its own below them, and with enter: 'DIV' the pasted blocks replace the empty line instead of going inside it. Thanks @brendon.
  • #1573 Blocks pasted into a list item stay inside it instead of landing directly in the list (li, dd and dt joined dtd.blockLimits), and a pasted list adds its items to the list it is pasted into. Thanks @brendon.

4.18.0

🚀 New Feature

  • #1559 Typing in a toolbar dropdown list moves the focus to the item whose label starts with what was typed, as in an open <select>: case and accents do not matter, repeating one letter cycles through the items that start with it, and the typed text starts again after a second. While a dropdown list opened with the mouse is open, typing in the editor searches the list as well instead of writing into the content. Thanks @brendon.
  • #1562 Toolbar selects can be given a fixed width with the --jd-toolbar-select-width CSS variable, or per control with --jd-toolbar-select-font-width, --jd-toolbar-select-fontsize-width and --jd-toolbar-select-paragraph-width, and shorten a longer value with an ellipsis. Without the variables a select keeps its previous sizing. Thanks @brendon.
  • #1561 The font family dropdown can offer the Google Fonts library, with the theme's fonts and the fonts the content uses at the top, through the new font.googleFonts.url option (the Google Fonts Developer API, or a proxy of it). The fonts the content uses are loaded into the editing document. For that, a list control whose popup returns content now shows that content in its dropdown in place of the list's buttons. Thanks @brendon.
  • #1530 New mediaWrappers option keeps video, audio and embeds in a wrapper from the content, by tag name, such as Froala's <span class="fr-video">, in place of the editor-only jodit-media; the media popup's Align and Delete act on the wrapper. Thanks @brendon.
  • #1530 New alignClasses option aligns elements with class names by tag (img, video, audio, iframe), including media wrappers, and mediaDefaultAlign aligns the media the video popup inserts. An alignment in it or in imageAlignClasses can list several class sets to recognise, writing the first. Thanks @brendon.

4.17.6

🐛 Bug Fix

  • #1546 Pasting after a space that follows a tag (<b>test</b> |) dropped the space: after inserting a node the selection removed the text nodes around it that it took for empty, and a node holding only a space counted as empty. Only a text node with nothing in it, apart from invisible caret placeholders, is removed now.
  • #1537 After switching to the source view and back, the first undo emptied the editor and the next one restored it, and redo did the same in reverse. ACE reports its own setValue as two changes, the removal of the old text and the insertion of the new one, and both were fed back into the editor as content -> '' and '' -> content. The ACE engine no longer sends its own setValue back. The switch itself also added a step that changed nothing but the selection (the selection markers put in before it), so undo appeared to do nothing once; a change that moves only the selection is no longer a history step, the next step just starts from that selection.
  • #1569 Saving the selection at the edge of a text node no longer leaves an empty text node, which made Safari leave an old highlight on screen after a blur and start a selection at the end of the first line after a line height. Thanks @brendon.
  • #1565 Setting the line height of an empty paragraph no longer replaces its <br> with an invisible character, which put Safari's caret over the last letter typed. Thanks @brendon.
  • #1566 The placeholder follows a line height or block format applied to an empty editor when cleanHTML.collapseEmptyValueToEmptyString is on. Thanks @brendon.

4.17.5

🐛 Bug Fix

  • Safari, editor inside a shadow root: Backspace deleted the character but the caret vanished, and the next Backspace threw HierarchyRequestError: The operation would yield an incorrect node tree.. By specification Selection.addRange() ignores a range whose root is not the document, which is every range inside a shadow tree; Chrome takes them through its non-standard ShadowRoot.getSelection(), but Safari only has the window selection, so removeAllRanges() followed by the ignored addRange() left no selection at all. When the browser's own selection is empty after addRange(), the range is now applied with setBaseAndExtent(), which does accept nodes inside a shadow tree. Follow-up to 4.17.2. Reported by Ralf Pichler (Jodit OEM).
  • Chrome and Edge: selecting the URL in the link editing popup by dragging the mouse and releasing it just outside the popup closed the popup together with the inline toolbar. Chrome reports a drag that starts in one element and ends in another as a click on their common ancestor, and the select plugin took that click on the page body for a click outside the editor and fired outsideClick. A click whose press started inside a popup no longer counts as one. Reported by Ralf Pichler (Jodit OEM).
