This is not really a new package. It is just intellij-idea-community-edition being updated to 2026.1.3. Since version 2025.3.1, community edition and ultimate edition become one. So I updated to latest version and removed separate packages.

Additionally, you have to add the package to removed-packages, please see https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/blob/master/Manual.md#removing-a-package.

As you left me in as the maintainer for the package: I'm also fine with giving maintainership of this to somebody else (I'm personally only using Android Studio), @piekay, as you maintained the IDEA Ultimate Edition would you like to keep on maintaining this? Would be great.

No Problem, we all have made these kinds of mistakes the first time around.

I thought the entry.desktop from lib/app-client.jar was removed in the new version. Turns out, entry.desktop was moved to lib/intellij.platform.ide.impl.jar. The vendored desktop entry was removed.
