I have no plans for this and am not aware of general xtensor plans for it (@JohanMabille?), nor for FFTW plans.
It seems like the only issue is lacking long doubles on Apple Silicon (i.e. long doubles are the same size as doubles). Should be quite easy to simply exclude this on M-series builds.
CI for M-series is merged and failing now. If you'd like to make it go green, I'm very happy to take that PR :)
@JohanMabille Should we just add the check you added here conda-forge/xtensor-fftw-feedstock@9beecc0 to the xtensor-fftw CMakeLists.txt directly?
