I think we should implement additional compatibility measures aligned with the approach laid out in the httpx2 migration guide. There is a ready-to-use pattern in the docs for this scenario: Support both, prefer httpx2 My recommendation is to first add a deprecation warning and release this as a patch version, rather than a minor version. |
