Add policy activation and deactivation endpoints #21

Closed

Description

@yashdotdev13

Goal

Expose explicit lifecycle operations for activating and deactivating existing policies without resubmitting every policy field.

Scope

  • Add dedicated activation/deactivation endpoints or a clearly defined lifecycle endpoint.
  • Make transitions idempotent and validate missing policy behavior.
  • Return a consistent policy response.
  • Add controller and service tests.

Acceptance criteria

  • Active policies are evaluated normally; inactive policies are rejected by the engine.
  • Repeated lifecycle requests have documented behavior.
  • HTTP status codes and validation failures are tested.

Suggested difficulty: Beginner / intermediate

    Hi @yashdotdev13, thanks for assigning this issue to me! I've implemented the policy activation and deactivation endpoints and opened PR #53. All 131 tests are passing. Looking forward to your feedback!

    Thanks for the contribution! The shared summary handler and documentation are useful additions to the benchmark workflow. I've merged the PR.
