Precommit the intervention independently of the forecast
When one coding session follows this step, it generates the forecast and then chooses/applies revision B before performing the supposedly blind harvest, so B can be tailored to the forecast and the evaluator retains knowledge of both. Merely placing B in a later commit prevents temporal rewriting but does not provide the independent, blind intervention required for the plan's central TP/FP/FN claim. Precommit B through an independently selected hidden diff/seed, or separate the predictor, intervenor, and evaluator roles.

| Do not promise that all Ruff languages lower directly to one lossless ModelGraph round-trip. As of the verified 2026-10-12 Ruff source, reassemble() reverses C++ machine-plane projected form only; core-7 and OpenProject IR content are not reconstructed. The Ruff RFC is a desired destination, not proof of full coverage. |

Pin the Ruff revision behind the verified claims
This records behavior as verified on a date but provides no Ruff commit SHA; the accompanying source shelf links implementation files through blob/main. If Ruff changes before D-SAG-2 is executed, the required inventory can pin a different implementation and there is no reproducible way to determine which IR/reassembly behavior these assertions were checked against. Record the verified Ruff SHA here and use commit-addressed source links.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Make cost measurements conditional on variant execution.
If a gate blocks work before a variant runs, this mandatory output still requires measured costs. That conflicts with the blocker-report option and can pressure the operator to bypass a gate or report unsupported results. Require measurements only for authorized, executed variants; otherwise require a “not measured” entry with the blocking reason.

Track predictions and observed outcomes separately, with timestamps or pinned revisions. Permit the correct conclusion to be "no improvement", "Unknown", or "this layer cannot express that relation". Keep the register/ISA bytes unchanged; any new semantic reading or method authority requires a separately reviewed contract.

D-SAG-2: from introspection to independently falsifiable prediction
Base: direct child of merged #1509 (
42fa2a347cda22eaaa327bba514f2029cc9daa82), verified one commit ahead / zero behind when authored.Type: research + implementation plan / Claude Code prompt / source excerpts. No Rust implementation or ABI changes. Do not interpret merging this documentation as approving later runtime or authority changes.
Why
#1509 has a Quack-queried SoftwareGraph for class/method/program/refusal/capability evidence and an H1 candidate, but only one-hop execution and no independently closed observation → prediction → falsification → revision loop. #1496–#1501 researched CE64/NAL, PLN/EIG, Hyperon folds, NARS Self, Rubicon and HotPlug; #1503–#1508 provide implementing primitives. This PR brings them into one falsifiable plan without an extra engine.
Deliverables
First three suspected defects (NOT confirmed)
SoftwareGraph::linkdedup ignoresctx/prov, potentially losing ownership on partial reprojection.project_computemay retain old class-levelComputesFrom/ComputeCycleevidence after an updated DAG.certifychecks digest and seal, but a caller-provided test name alone is not independent proof that the oracle executed.Required: prove each by failing tests before minimal fixes, or record refutation. Neither accepted metadata nor source declarations are automatically runtime evidence.
Independent validation with AdaWorldAPI/ruff
Use Ruff's ModelGraph/extractors only within supported predicates: ordered Ruby behavioral events (#117), C linkage and intentionally absent free-function call triples (#118), Odoo parent/extension view resolution (#120), and explicitly limited C++ reassembly. Preregister A→B impact prediction, then blind reharvest and score TP/FP/FN/Unknown. Run identical feedback-disabled control to distinguish an adaptive decision from logging alone.
Research discipline
Acceptance / review
Requested review decision: approve the research and test plan; implement D-SAG-2-1 separately only after the code-level falsifiers are established.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Follow-up expansion: operational observability and adaptive falsification (commit
d0b99664)This adds 20 more adversarial probes (SAG2-P21–P40, total 40) and closes research-design gaps left deliberately outside the first documentation round:
Critical correction: ONA's assumption-of-failure is not an instruction to count an absent Ruff triple as falsification; absence is admissible only after coverage/completeness checks. A no-op intervention is a separate baseline from a read-only probe, and repeated adaptive evaluation can overfit. These constraints become explicit negative controls.
All additions are research/docs only. No test or ONA runtime result has been produced by this documentation update. The PR's existing review-ready state is unchanged.
