An unrepaired compact-control parity word can restore its temporary fields while changing the target when used as its own return. With G=2,K=6,x=1,y=33,t=3,b=2, the target goes 33 → 40 → 41, whereas the completed repaired operation cancels correctly. This is a research note / scoped negative result, not a defect in the retained repaired construction or a new kappa claim.

The package proves the exact one-digit formula, repeated-word failure support and orbit order, supplies a constructive isolated-pair correction, and retains the complete inherited recursive cost recurrence. It distinguishes raw reversal from ideal involution and does not assume a repair or child can commute across an interface.

Reproduce with standard-library Python 3.9+:

python3 -B research/compact-boundary-cancellation-seed51/verify.py
python3 -B research/compact-boundary-cancellation-seed51/test_package.py

Expected: PASS_COMPACT_BOUNDARY_CANCELLATION states=40800 production=1176 controls=8 no_new_kappa, then PASS_COMPACT_BOUNDARY_PACKAGE relocated_isolated_optimized=PASS faults=4.

Validation covers 40,800 complete small-domain states, 1,176 retained physical-interpreter comparisons, eight mathematical rejection controls, four injected package faults, and isolated optimized replay. The 22 affected existing tests passed at the analysis base. An independent Codex agent rederived the parity law and replayed the verifier/package with no blockers. Finite replay supports the written argument; it is not a formal proof of the multiplication theorem. Full repository suites, selected cold replay and hosted CI are separate and are not claimed.

Analysis base: abdc6a7002abdbcd9e21bfc5e1a795784deacfdf. Submission base: ba82555c64e1879e4b7decce28186f208fcb8262. Assignment seed 51, OS CSPRNG, recursive interfaces. The original #942 selected record is pinned at its byte-identical historical checkpoint, so the verifier does not freeze the mutable selection pointer. All other pinned sources are unchanged between the two bases. The current #1042 conditional kappa 0.001672188119205421 and upstream/ are unchanged.

Credit Douglas Colkitt's compact-control construction/simulator and OpenAI's upstream framework. John-Michael Smith's #763 studies later-source interior carries; Precious Oyetunji's #773 and Aryan Sudhir's #735 study the distinct wide-slot gadget. This result adds the repeated earlier-source boundary law/support/order. #1012's T37 restoration mass and #1057's additive echo memory use different interfaces and are not imported. The refreshed 760-PR queue through #1105 contained no competing contribution on this precise object; the authenticated pinned-issue query returned no pinned coordination issue, so the claim is local.

Prepared for @martinxxx9 with substantial OpenAI Codex assistance in reasoning, implementation, verification and writing. Apache-2.0; retained predecessor attribution and all-size/compiler, hosting, fixed-tape, precision and analytic obligations remain explicit. Only research/compact-boundary-cancellation-seed51/ is added.

100-PR batch review at b76bb2853be4e7001508582b10913e32ad7aba9f.

Merged to main, preserving the original contributor commits and package attribution.

Reviewed scope: Exact saturated-digit defect and order of the raw compact-control word; repaired operations remain valid, and cancellation requires actual complete-program adjacency.

The pinned scoped command passed; the batch ledger contains its command, input hashes, environment and log. This incorporates the research/tooling contribution and does not change the selected κ or discharge the inherited multiplication-theorem assumptions.

Batch review, attribution and evidence. Thank you for the contribution.

Exact-head retention and overlap facts for #1101, #1108, #1142, #1151,
#1277, #1361, #1509 and #1646 against main 1f7a934, with a stdlib
checker. #1142 fails on current main (stale selected-record pin) and
re-adds an earlier copy of #1108's package (add/add conflict).
