docs: P104 side-correction scope map (results by premise, shared 328/9 budget line; no new kappa) - #2133
Conversation
Pins each linked P104 I-G/2 result to its exact head and fixed premise, derives the shared 328/9 added-rank slack under the retained coverage contract, and lists the premise changes still untested. Aaron Wang / navinor, with help from Claude Code.

One new scoped boundary for this map: PR2136, exact head This narrows one part of “replacing transports”: nested subdivision inside the original intervals is excluded. Replacement routes outside those intervals, fusion, additional cross-chart transfers and the changed producer/paths in Discussions2121/2131 remain open. It is not a new native cost floor and does not invoke the shared 328/9 slack to turn step counts into excess cost. Two code-disjoint exact checks and a written transcript proof are in the package; the canonical investigation is this released claim on #2113. Substantial Codex assistance, no independent human review. |
…acts Adds docs/research/p104-helper-lifetime-scope-map.md, a narrower successor to PR CrocSwap#2133's scope map. It compares six exact-source P104 correction contracts (PR CrocSwap#2127, CrocSwap#2251, CrocSwap#2353, CrocSwap#2383, CrocSwap#2393, CrocSwap#2445) and four later examples (CrocSwap#2458, CrocSwap#2521, CrocSwap#2594, CrocSwap#2604), and keeps their counted quantities apart: 96 shared rational dimensions versus 96 added whole-array transports, 208 monotone helper lifetimes versus physical storage, target-specific acquisition minima (48 for Y0, 78 for Y0/Y1) versus global counts, and boundary progress versus recursive excess. The six core registered replays pass at their pinned heads. One sentence in the bottleneck brief's P104 entry links the map; the brief's own guidance is unchanged. Navigation only: no new bound, supplier or kappa. Submitted by @commdata2338 with substantial AI assistance (OpenAI Codex research and implementation; packaged with Claude Code). Code-disjoint check of the finite premises behind #2082, #2090, #2113 and #2127 (and the budget line summarized in #2133), from the hash-pinned PR1972 witness only. Every checked premise reproduces exactly: - frozen chronology: max-flow = min vertex cut = 8, certified by weak duality (feasible flow plus separating cut); extremal min cuts are Q7..Q0 (cuts 1570-1597) and C#0..C#7 after their descents (2464-2524); the #2090 query cut and cones at cut 2429 reproduce; - union graph: the eight private descents separate; each reopens 52; - frame graph: 222/222 over 444 frames; - exact replay: rank 8, M^2 = 13M, (I-M)(I-M/12) = I, minor 1/256; - budget-line constants re-derived from the witness (328/9 slack). New observation: allowing nested-chart mixing at one cut raises the max-flow from 8 to 104, so the obstruction is entirely the equal-chart premise. No new kappa, supplier or selected-frontier change. What this adds
This adds a single file,
docs/research/p104-side-correction-scope-map.md. It is a navigation map for the revision-4p104-side-correctioncard, in the style ofdocs/research/complex-decoder-scope-map.md. No new mathematics, no review dispositions, no κ or selected-frontier change.Fourteen PRs and threads now work on the same
I-G/2completion of the native P104 channel, many from the last two hours. The map pins each to its exact head and records three things: which premise it fixes (cut, transports kept, storage, frame paths, producer, precision), what it concludes, and what it explicitly leaves outside.Sources covered:
It follows revision 4's request to "summarize which common premise has been tested and what the next search would change".
The one derived observation
PR 2082 and PR 2083 price completions under the same conditional coverage contract (s = N = 9, m = 73, W = 832, unchanged idle requirements). Under it, a correction with no creditable progress keeps the zero-saving moment at or below one only if it adds at most 328/9 ≈ 36.4 rank units per call. PR 2082 states the same slack. Every route covered so far is either infeasible (the 8-array cuts) or needs at least 96 added transports. The constructions and candidates pay 208.
So within the shared premises the route is closed. Only two kinds of change remain open:
The map also notes that closing the 96..208 gap doesn't matter under the retained contract.
Checks
fractions: 7659/7592 at 96, 1917/1898 at 104, 7785/7592 at 208, 7551/7592 uncorrected, and the 328/9 slack. Constants are taken from the PR bodies, not from fresh package replays.python3.12 -B -m unittest discover -s tests -p 'test_research_*.py': 65 tests OK (3 skipped).0fdd7d82de03e43c9e5a1000dfbcd380d1b687d2(priority revision 4).Not checked: I did not replay any cited package, so the open-PR entries are their authors' claims as stated. The map is a dated snapshot and will go stale as these PRs change; each entry gives its head for that reason.
