Re-pin the root Makefile/README in research/joint-dual/SOURCE.json (fixes the failing 'Verify research artifacts' job on main and all PRs) - #318

The "Verify research artifacts" workflow (make joint-dual-verify) fails on main and on every open pull request since the root Makefile and README changed (AssertionError: Makefile in joint_dual_compose.check_sources). Regenerated with scripts/experiments/pin_joint_dual_sources.py; verify_joint_dual.py and tests/test_joint_reclaim.py pass (16 tests) under Python 3.11. The joint jobs are green on this branch (3.11, 3.13 passed; 3.14 running), confirming the pinned Makefile/README digests were the only cause of the repo-wide 'Verify research artifacts' failures on main and on every open PR (#311–#317 included). Merging this should turn those checks green after a re-run. |
…check passes The joint-dual SOURCE.json pins root Makefile/README hashes that main no longer has, so the joint job fails on every PR. Review and limits: Only historical root-file digests and derived receipts change. Fresh source-binding, exact composition and regression checks are authoritative; the unrelated CI checkout is excluded as evidence for these changed files. The complete original source, notices and relevant execution evidence are retained through the pinned source archive. The review distinguishes fresh local runs, source-bound historical Linux CI and prior exact-head review; it does not claim 100 fresh full mathematical audits. Closing this historical PR as reconciled. This preserves parallel and cumulative credit without replacing the selected frontier or promoting priced research targets to completed constructions.
