fix: prefix streaming transport ids and reveal instructions - #104
Give streamed Suspense boundaries stable prefixed transport IDs, preserve reveal registrations across bootstraps, and remove rejected segments without changing early-event capture or replay.
Special things to note
This draft covers the SSR transport fix, TanStack/redact#104 at 67ef5e4 plus exactly two local follow-ups: 596a45c (reveal registry) and da5f724 (rejected segments); fix/ssr-prefixed-segment-ids-followup is a fast-forward of that head, and the existing PR branch is unchanged.
Server and client must use the same transport format: prefixed hexadecimal IDs and the two-ID $RC/$RR instructions.
Each bootstrap still creates a fresh event queue, installs capture listeners, and sets $RE_stop, exactly as upstream does; shared queues, hydrated-root tracking, and multi-root replay/lifecycle redesign are out of scope.

- $RB(boundaryID, 1)+ $RB(boundaryID, 1, segmentID)+ remove the hidden segment and its parsing wrapper
bail out if the boundary still exists
shell one → hydrate its pending boundary → shell two → reveal both
retain the callbacks; adopt the original buttons; each button handles clicks
hydrate root one → shell two → click before hydration → hydrate root two
capture and replay that later-stream click using the unchanged runtime
delete boundary → receive its hidden segment → stylesheet fails
remove the orphan segment; leave replacement content untouched
The follow-up branch passes 185 test files: 2,013 tests passed, 91 skipped, plus test:types, build verification, and all 38 source/built size gates. The capture block is byte-identical to both 67ef5e4 and origin/main; neither event replay nor client hydration is changed by these two commits.
The rejection cleanup adds 79/78 B after the registry commit. Only the server caps increase, by exactly 83/83 B from the PR head; all client sizes and caps are unchanged, including the 28,183 B client-total cap.
SSR streaming now uses prefixed hexadecimal IDs for Suspense boundaries and segments. Reveal and error scripts use those IDs, and pending-boundary hydration looks up root-qualified boundaries. The changes also add streamed-reveal tests and SSR-specific size-budget allowances.

Transport ID and frame prefix packages/redact/src/server/stream-ids.ts, packages/redact/src/server/dispatcher.ts
Added helpers for prefixed hexadecimal boundary and segment IDs, escaped script IDs, and a transport prefix on newly created SSR frames.
Server markup and reveal scripts packages/redact/src/server/walk.ts, packages/redact/src/server/stream.ts, packages/redact/src/server/bootstrap-script.ts, .changeset/ssr-prefixed-segment-ids.md
Server markup and scripts use generated boundary and segment IDs. revealScript accepts an optional identifierPrefix. Stylesheet-gated reveals use $RR; failure handling can discard staged content.
Hydration and streamed reveal validation packages/redact/src/dom/features/suspense/full.ts, tests/ssr-prefixed-segments.test.tsx, tests/ssr-boundary-errors.test.tsx

With several streamed shells in one page, a click made before hydration can be dropped if a later shell arrives afterward. Preserve the shared replay queue and listener across bootstrap runs, and add a test that clicks between two shell arrivals, before merging.

Add assertions for the prefixed $RR call and its stylesheet ordering.
The stylesheet test checks only that the output contains $RR(. It does not run the emitted script, so it cannot detect a reveal that happens before /late.css resolves. It also does not check the boundary and segment IDs passed to $RR, so a regression that drops the prefix from those IDs would pass.
Extend the test to install the streamed transport with the same helper the other tests use. Assert that the prefixed boundary and segment IDs appear in the $RR call. Then assert that the boundary stays hidden until the stylesheet load completes.

The review nitpick about the $RR stylesheet test is addressed in 67ef5e4. The test now executes the streamed scripts in jsdom, asserts escaped prefixed hexadecimal boundary and segment IDs, and verifies that the fallback stays in place and the segment stays hidden until /late.css receives a load event, then reveals. Temporary mutations confirmed that dropping either prefix or revealing early fails the test; the implementation was restored.
Guard only the document reveal registry and helpers. Keep the upstream capture block unchanged and cover later-shell clicks after hydration.

Pass the segment ID through the rejection path and remove the hidden segment and parsing wrapper before bailout. Record the measured server-only cost without changing capture or replay.

Keep the event replay queue and capture listener from being replaced by a later bootstrap script.
Each prefixed stream that renders a shell emits its own copy of the bootstrap runtime. Each copy runs var q=[];window.$RE_q=q; and attaches a new capture listener outside the if(!window.$RH) guard. A later copy therefore replaces window.$RE_q with a new array. The first copy's listener still pushes into the old array. Hydration drains only window.$RE_q, so a click buffered between the two shell arrivals is not replayed.
The guard is not the cause. The unguarded queue and listener match the base revision. The guard shares only the reveal registry. The queue loss exists in base, but the prefixed multi-stream feature in this PR makes a second bootstrap run in one document a supported path.
Preserve the first queue and listener until replay. Gate the queue and listener block so a later run reuses the existing queue instead of replacing it. Add a test that clicks between the two shell arrivals and checks that hydration replays the click.
