@poweruserz Could you review this PR when you have a chance? It adds Left/Right placement and offset controls for the taskbar strip. The implementation and validation details are in the PR description. Thanks! |

Thanks! I tried this on a real taskbar: Left covered Start when Windows aligns the icons left, and the Widgets button ended up under the strip on either side. Your two commits are unchanged in #12, with one commit on top that measures the taskbar buttons via UI Automation and keeps the strip in the free gaps (the second position becomes Center on a left-aligned taskbar). AI review skips fork PRs, so the review runs there; once #12 merges, this PR shows as merged too. |
feat: taskbar strip side and offset, clear of Start, Widgets and apps (#4)
The taskbar strip is fixed beside the notification area, so users cannot use the empty space on the left of a centered taskbar. This adds Left / Right placement and an Offset (px) control under Settings → Taskbar strip.
Validation:
bun run test --run --pool=threads --maxWorkers=2). The default fork worker mode stalled locally; thread workers completed successfully.cargo test --locked --lib(212 passed, 1 ignored), andcargo build --locked --binsforb6465b4. Native source is unchanged since that run; the subsequent offset-input fix was verified by a fresh frontend build and test suite. The fork-only verification workflow is not part of this PR.
